COMPREHENSIVE ORAL EXAMS

At your check-ups we cover every inch of your mouth to make sure dental decay has nowhere to hide! We examine your teeth, gums and jaws using special instruments and cool high-tech solutions, like DIAGNOdent, a special laser that detects even the earliest and smallest cavities. We’ll also check for gum disease and take a look at your sealants and existing fillings or crowns if you have them. We take special care to ensure the facial structure, teeth and jaws are growing and developing properly.

FULL MOUTH SERIES AND PANORAMIC X-RAYS

We don’t take x-rays at every appointment but sometimes they’ll be necessary to detect cavities, infections in the bone and the position of un-erupted teeth. We use low-dose digital x-rays to provide amazing imaging with the lowest radiation. Typically a low-dose panoramic x-ray will be taken at age six or when the permanent teeth start to come in. This policy adheres to the recommendations of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
