Treatment for Kids
Going to the dentist for kids shouldn’t be a chore! We make it entertaining and fun, which sets the stage for a positive relationship with oral health that will last a lifetime. Our kid-friendly office and experienced staff tailor each visit to fit our youngest patients’ individual needs. Kids’ mouths are different from those of grown-ups and we’re specially trained to care for them.
Treatment for Teens
Now that you’re a teenager, you probably have a little bit more freedom and get to make many of your own choices. Some of those choices, like how often you brush your teeth, whether or not you subsist solely off candy and soda while at school or determining if you’re going to wear a mouthguard at basketball practice, can have a major impact on your oral health.
Sedation Dentistry
Really nervous or young patients or those with special needs that require extensive dental work, sedation is the safest route. We’ll answer any and all questions parents may have and go over the options including nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation and in-office general anesthesia. As pediatric dental specialists, Dr. Paddy, Dr. Roger and Dr. Meredith are trained in sedation.

About Dr. Paddy
Dr. Paddy, whose full name is Dr. A. Patrick Smithwick III (say that three times fast), is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and reached attending status at Children’s Hospital of Colorado. He draws on his education from Hobart College, University of Maryland College of Dental Surgery and New York University to provide your child with superior dental care.
About Dr. Roger
Dr. Roger Castro is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist who helps kiddos maintain healthy smiles in the Denver area. He attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he made friends with Dr. Paddy and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then completed his residency in pediatric dentistry at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center.
About Dr. Meredith
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist Dr. Meredith Ghivizzani joined the Kids Mile High Team after practicing pediatric dentistry in Houston, TX for several years. Dr. Meredith earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
About Dr. Scheer
Board Certified Orthodontist Dr. Brandon Scheer comes from a long family tradition of practicing dentistry, dating back to 1918! He continued the legacy, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He then completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
